Marston hold three other patents which have nothing to do with guns. Reason not to show copies of them:
The very first patent of Marston was number 4,756 issued on September 12, 1846 for a printing press.
On August 29, 1865 he got patent number 49,639 for a Book Stand or Holder
His last patent, number 126,558 was issued on May 7. 1872 for Improvement in Combined Burglar-Alarms and Door-Fasteners.

Son of Stanhope Walter Marston. For a short time S.W. and W.W. Marston worked at the same address in New York. W.W. Marston was baptised on September 6, 1822. W.W. Marston died on September 21, 1872

On July 15, 1863 the factory was damaged by a fire and probably not reopened befor 1865

Born in 1822 and died in 1872. On December 2, 1862 he got a silver presentation cup by his workmen, most probable the occassion of his 40th birthday.

U.S. Army Model 1862 Percussion Signal Pistol, about 1000 were manufactured in 1862, brass frame and steel hammer, the muzzle is .75 as the navy model, using Colson cartridges

.31 caliber percussion, six-shot pepperbox, 3 1/4 ribbed barrel, bar hammer, marked NEW YORK, WARRANTED CAST STEEL and on the hammer W.W.MARSTON PATENTED 1849 NEW YORK. I did not find a Marston Patent concerning pepperboxes in 1849 and I do not understand what his patent number 6,514 has to do with them. The only patent for pepperboxes I was able to recover was that of Jacob Post, number 6,136 of February 20, 1849.

Ammunition was a paper cartridge with a patent leather base fired by a percussion cap on a nipple located on the frame. Production was approximately 1000 pistols manufactured in the 1850s.
